Fabric - Batik

Batik fabric is created using a manual, labor-intensive technique of wax-resist dyeing. Since batik fabrics are unique, make sure to get all the yardage you think you may need as dye lots will ALWAYS vary.

Batik fabrics have a high thread count.  For that reason, you should use ultra fine pins and a sewing machine needle with a modified medium ball point and a reinforced blade, such as a denim needle.
