Here's what's happening at the QuiltBug:

We have openings in the Beginners class that takes place Wed. morning.  If you want to take your sewing to the next level. This weekly class will take you from beginner to beyond.  Give the shop a call, or sign up on line, and join the fun. You can't beat this price, just $15.00 a week. 

Lower your feed dogs and raise your creativity in this class taught by Tamara. This hands on class will provide the basics for machine quilting using a walking foot on your home sewing machine.
Cost: $ 25.00

Have you ever wanted to try Wool Applique? We have two classes coming up!  On February 26th and March 23rd.  I think this is a very relaxing form of quilting.  We have Paula, a wool applique teacher, that will lead you through a basic project while sharing tips and techniques.  This is going to be a fun class.  Cost: $35, it includes your starter kit. 

Join us March 2nd as we reveal the QuiltBug's, 10th anniversary Stonehenge block, come in and meet the reps from Northcott and learn about the 2 competitions you can take part in and potentially when a trip to England!  We'll raffle off a Stonehenge gift basket with a few of the beautiful fabric samples included.


 

 




 





 

Welcome to QuiltBug Quilt Shop!
 

We offer a full line of quilting fabric plus patterns, batting, sewing notions and supplies. Our shop is at 3637 Carman Rd, Schenectady NY 12303. Our hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10a - 5p, and Sunday's from 12p to 4p.  The QB sells quilt fabrics, patterns, batting, sewing notions and supplies in the shop and on-line.  We always have lots of quilting tips and suggestions.  We have a lot of new classes and events - pop out to our class schedule to sign up for a new class.  Learn new designs during instruction being taught by our very own Quilt Bug staff quilters.  If there is something you'd really like to learn let us know and we'll set up a time to teach you, just email us at Quiltbug.com@gmail.com

Petal Pizazz with Sherrie

This is a great little runner, made with the Spot On tool. It's fun and fast... ! 17in x 36in It looks like paper piecing but it's not! Yes you can do this it's easy!

Basic Beginners Class

This weekly course is designed to take the beginning quilter from accurate measuring and rotary cutting to piecing of a simple quilt in approximately 12 sessions. Projects have been selected which teach various sewing techniques necessary for quilting. Weekly cost will vary depending on the project.

Beginners and Beyond Class

This class is designed to teach an advanced beginner basic quilting blocks and techniques. It will build on the lessons taught and patterns used in the Basic Beginners class. Approximately 4 weeks will be devoted to each block. The first technique will be strip piecing which will be practiced in the Nine Patch block and a quick pinwheel design. Several other blocks and projects will also be covered.
