Sue Pritt is coming to the QuiltBug on Saturday 16th to teach her applique techniques. You can choose any one of the patterns we have in the shop and she will help you! I’m taking the class myself so come
on in and sit beside me. I love her wall hangings!
As I mentioned above, we have Stonehenge, mark your calendars to stop in March 2nd. The representatives from Northcott will be here to reveal The QuiltBug Block for the 10th Anniversary celebration of Stonehenge. I am so excited to have the shop involved in this international Shop Hop! There will be a competition for consumers using the panel, or you can Shop Hop on line and collect 12 blocks and create a quilt from those blocks. Yes, a quilt designed by you, the QuiltBug customer, it can be entered the challenge! Take a chance to win a 9-day trip to England! Please stop in on March 2nd and meet the representatives and get ready to win that trip!
Shop Hop 2019 is in the final preparation stages now! Shop Hop will run from May 30th to June 9th. The theme is “Backyard Travel” The Grand Prize if you finish is a Sewing Machine with a value up to $1000.00. I have had the opportunity to meet with the other shops to plan, what a great team of people😊 We will announce shortly when the passports will go on sale. This year the shops involved are Adirondack Quilts Brookside Quiltworks, The Joyful Quilter, Karen’s Quilting Corner, KC Framing and Fabrics, Log Cabin Fabrics, Pumpkin Patch and the QuiltBug.
Did you know we now carry Quilter’s Dream, we have access to all types and can order for you anything we don’t have in the shop. We are carrying various sizes of the 80/20 to start.
We have added another Beginners class on Wednesday mornings with Karen, Visit QuiltBug.com if you want to learn how to sew and quilt! Karen has room for you:)
Karen also holds classes on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons of Beginners and Beyond. Sign up on-line or call the shop if you are interested. Take a moment to read the class description on line to see if your skills fit with this group.
On Tuesday - Feb 19th @ 10:30 Sherrie will be teaching: Petal Pizazz. This is a great table runner, made with the Spot-On tool. It's fun and fast! 17in x 36in It looks like paper piecing but it's not! Yes, you can do this it's easy! Cost: $ 30.00
Last But not least, we are excited to offer two introductory to Wool Applique classes. The first one is February 26th and an additional one will be taught on Mar 23, 2019 10:30 am. Wool applique is an easy, relaxing, and portable craft. Try it with Paula and start a new adventure in quilting Cost: $ 35.00 The price begins a beginners kit.
