Here's what's happening at the QuiltBug as we move thru May and June! 

Available Now:  Shop Hop passports!  $7.00 ea Shop Hop 2019 will run from Thursday, May 30th to June 9th. The theme is “Backyard Travel” and the Grand Finishing Prize is a Sewing Machine with a value up to $1000.00. This year the shops involved are Adirondack Quilts, Brookside Quiltworks, The Joyful Quilter, Karen’s Quilting Corner, KC Framing and Fabrics, Log Cabin Fabrics, Pumpkin Patch and the QuiltBug. Buzz by and get your passport!

* Our next Top Off Day is Sunday June 2nd at noon! Robbie will be in to deliver or receive your quilts.


*  June 10th Rapid Fire Hungter's Star with the owner of cmhCreations, Carol Hesselink.  learn how to use Deb Tuckers - Rapid Fire Hunter's Star templateto make trapazoid units for Hunter's Star blocks.  

*  June 11th and 25th Sew in Love, Bi-monthly block class. 
 
 June 22nd Color Play with Katryn Greenwold, You will gain understanding of why you like some colors, and dislike others (but how to use them anyway and love the outcome!) Participants will work through several exercises using the Joen Wolfrom Color tool.

Do you wanted to learn to sew or quilt?  We have the perfect class for you!  There are openings in the Beginners class that takes place Wed. morning at 10:00, and Thursday afternoons at 1:00. Don't be nervous everyone starts somewhere! 
New - beginning in June we have a Basic Beginners group starting alternate Saturdays from 10 to 1:00.  This class will help you learn to sew or take your sewing to the next level. This weekly class will take you from beginner to beyond.  Give the shop a call, or sign up on line, and join the fun. You can't beat this price, just $15.00 a week. 

We are excited to offer a Wool Applique club on Sundays.  Wool applique is an easy, relaxing, and portable craft. Try it with Paula and adventure into the wonderful world of Wool Applique.  Cost: $ 10.00, Sign up on Line or call the shop and we'll enroll you!  Paula will share a few new stiches at the club sessions.  Yes, you will receive instruction from Paula while you are working on your wool projects.  The club fee is $10.00 a visit, you pick which session works for you, enroll on line or call the shop to enroll.  

 

We have added 3 new Beginners Quilting class on Wednesday mornings @ 10:30, Thursdays @ 1:30 and Every other Saturday beginning in June @ 10:00 with Karen.   Visit QuiltBug.com or call the shop 518-280-2586, if you want to learn how to sew and quilt! Karen has room for you:)  We also hold classes on Wednesday afternoons of Beginners and Beyond @ 1:30. Sign up on-line or call the shop if you are interested. 

Did you know we now carry Quilter’s Dream batting in various sizes, both 100% cotton and 80/20.  We have access to all types  of Quilter's Dream and can order for you anything we don’t have in the shop.  If we don't have what you need let us know and we can get it.

Montly: Plan to drop off your quilt top or pick up a quilt from Robbie Sutton our Long arm quilter and is the owner of Pieceful Hollow Designs.  She visits the shop the first and third Sunday of the month between 12 and 1p to accept your tops and review quilting options with you.  That's Top Off Day:-)) If you can't make it on that day, you can leave your tops at the shop after you pick out a quilting design from her design book.   Once Robbie picks it up you are well on your way to having a finished quilt!  Robbie will call you when your quilt is done, and you can pick it up at the QuiltBug on any Top Off Day, or any time we are open.
