Take Four Placemats

By stacking four fat quarters, trimming, cutting and shifting the layers around, you will create a beautiful set of four placemats.  We will be working on the second version of the placemats which is the most difficult, but the most outstanding of the five variations.  You will learn how to cut multiple layers of fabric horizontally, flip them, and rejoin the pieces.  Then you will cut through the layers vertically, flip them and rejoin the pieces to finish the tops.  You will also learn how to match corners of pieces which is necessary for accuracy in quilting.

We will finish the placemats by using the pillowcase technique.  Blind stitching by hand and beginning machine quilting will also be taught.
