Dream Green Quilt Batting

Recycled Earth Friendly Batting

Quilters Dream Green is a soft, cozy batting made completely from recycled plastic bottles. Even the packaging is recycleable! Each pound of Dream Green Batting keeps 10 plastic bottles out of our landfills. Utilizing eco-efficient recycling Quilters Dream has developed a wonderful quilt batting that truly accomplishes the meaning of “green.”

Dream Green meets the highest standards of quality, function and performance. It is carded, crosslapped, and needlepunched for uniformity, strength, and resiliency. There is no resin or scrim to resist your needle.

This makes Dream Green a very soft batting with excellent drape, wonderful consistency and strength. You may confidently stitch up to 12” apart or as closely as you would like. Finished quilts may be dry-cleaned or gently machine washed and dried with little or no shrinkage. Dream Green stays soft and supple and is excellent for both hand and machine quilting.

How is it done? Recycled Plastic Bottles are cut into chips, washed, melted and extruded into fine polyester fibers.  These fibers are not heated or exposed to potable liquids, so there is no possibility chemicals can leach into the batting.  These fibers are are indistinguishable from virgin polyester fibers yet are made without depleting our precious natural resources.

The soft natural green color is kept to avoid additional processing.  Dream Green is colorfast and compatible to all your finest quilts and projects. Your needles will glide through this unique eco-friendly batting.
