Hello Friends of the QuiltBug!
Join us this week for two fun events!
The first is Ryan's Cases for Smiles, this Friday.  If you have some time please join us for this good cause.

The call has come to the QuiltBug,  Ryan's Case for Smiles is low and they need your help:) We can use your help even if you don't sew! Join the Quilt Bug team as they support such a worthy cause. Ryan’s Case for Smiles is one the few volunteer organizations solely dedicated to helping kids feel better to heal better. While other great organizations focus on research and finding a cure, they work to improve the quality of life of children and their families as they undergo treatment.  With every stitch, every yard of fabric and every pillowcase we get one step closer to our goal of helping kids with cancer and life-changing illnesses feel better to heal better. Cost: $ FREE please call the shop to sign up!  518-280-2586 or sign up on line so we can keep a head count.  If you are a sewer, or not, we can use your help!

Second:  Stop in on this Saturday May 18th and meet a local Author, C.B. Edwin, She will be launching her new book called Gleothane, copies will be for sale and C.B. will personally autograph all books purchased.

May 18th from 2:00 until 5:00pm .. local writer C.B. Edwin is a Guilderland native and has attended the local schools.  She is launching her series Gleothane the Living Scroll series in May here at the shop.  This series is about a Royal Bloodline, An Unfulfilled Prophecy and a World Ravaged by War.  The Royal Kashamire Bloodline and the followers struggle to restore peace in the impoverished, war-torn world of Gleothane.  A unique blend of warriors proves that what others perceive as disabilities are nothing more than hurdles one can adapt to, rising from challenge to heroism.  When you make a purchase at the shop between now and May 18th you will get a raffel ticket to fill out to win a signed copy of Gleothane! If you like Science Fiction this is the book for you - it is also appropriate for tweens!
