Celitic Pieced IllusionsCeltic Visions

Piecework enthusiasts rejoice! Now great Celtic designs can be created with only two simple blocks. Quilters traditionally use appliqué to create Celtic designs. Instead, author Karen Combs has translated knot work into pieced patterns. She found she can create many Celtic designs with two, three, or more blocks, so the possibilities are unlimited.

In this class taught by Joann, you will learn to make the 42" x 42" Celtic Vision quilt from this book.  Even beginning quilt makers can tackle these colorful quilt patterns.  The class is $15 and you must own or purchase the book.  Kits available. Kit price is $70 and includes the book.

  • Saturday, February 25, 10 - 3.  Bring your lunch.

National Tie One On DayTie One On Day is an opportunity for people throughout the country to put the “give” back in Thanksgiving by sharing our good fortune with someone in need of a kind gesture.

Participation is simple. On the day before Thanksgiving, November 24th this year, pause in the preparation of your own meal to wrap a loaf of bread or other baked good in an apron, tablecloth, or placemat and tuck a prayer or note of encouragement in the pocket.  Deliver the wrapped bundle to someone without your bounty… a neighbor, friend or family member in need of physical or spiritual sustenance, a bit of recognition or just a kind word.

National Tie One On Day™ is a win-win, for the participant and the receiver. By embracing National Tie One On Day™, you will make someone else’s day brighter.

To celebrate Tie One On day this year, we will be holding free apron classes.
