Love of Chocolate Mystery

All Done!

If chocolate makes your heart sing, this 54" x 54" quilt might just be for you! If you prefer, you can make it scrappy by using a variety of fabrics - after all, doesn’t a box of chocolate have lots of different kinds in it?  This Mystery was inspired by the Hot for Chocolate fabric.  You don't *have* to make it in pinks and browns, however!  Choose your own favorite colors. Did you miss the mystery?  You can still order the pattern!  Available by instant download for only $3.95. Add to Cart

Would you like to follow along using our exact fabrics?  You can order a kit, which will include the pattern, all the fabric you need, a Tri-Recs ruler and a half package of both sizes of Thangles for only $47.50 Click here to order.

This quilt uses the Tri-Recs ruler for the diamond points and Thangles for the Half Square Triangles (HSTs). If you prefer another method for making HSTs, change the cutting directions to accommodate that method. You will also find a 3 ½" ruler very useful. The Quilt in a Day fussy cut rulers will work really well.

Click here for our video on how to use the Tri-Recs Ruler Tool

There is a teeny tiny bit of applique in the quilt.  If you prefer fusible applique, you will need a small amount of Steam-a-seam or other fusible.  If you aren't sure, read our article on Applique Tips and Tricks.

A 1/4" seam allowance is assumed. WOF means Width of Fabric.

The mystery is over and the first 7 prizes have been awarded.  The first person to send a picture of their completed top got a $50 gift certificate.  That's Cleary's to the left - be sure to click on the picture thumbnail to see her kitty center!  (She is calling it Love of Kitty.)  The next ten people are getting a $10 gift certificate.  Send your pictures to quiltbug.com@gmail.com

The pictures below are thumbnails.  Be sure to click on them to see the quilt up close.
